Juniper Gets Haircut

It was worth taking a shot at turning this Blue Point Juniper into a spiral topiary. It’s never been pruned, so I’m using the ribbon as a guide, just taking off a little bit.

Unrecognizable Terrain

It looks like another planet! A white birch, left, is completely bent over to the ground. Amazingly, this tree did recover later.

Icy Winter Storm

Winter storms with lots of heavy, wet snow and ice are really tough on evergreen boughs. I often go out and try to knock off as much weight as I can with a long-handled shovel or broom.
